Residential Community North of Dallas Readies the First 6,000 Homes to Be Built
The first homes are under construction in a massive North Texas residential community opening its doors next month. The 3,000-acre Mantua development is along U.S. Highway 75 in Collin and Grayson counties. The community, which stretches between the towns of Anna and Van Alstyne, could eventually have 6,000 homes plus commercial developments. Developer Risland US Holdings started work on the project in late 2019, and the first houses will open in March. The first phase will include 223 single-family homes.
“It’s very exciting to see the first phase of Mantua coming to life,” said Michael Hanschen, vice president of development at Risland. “Our goal from the start has been to provide our residents with unequaled amenities, high-quality builders and a highly ranked school zone.”
David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes and Risland Homes are among the builders putting up houses, with prices starting in the $280,000s. “The single-family residential market continues to set records, and we have had a great reception from builders for our Mantua project,” Hanschen said.
