FedEx Hiring 1,200 Workers for its New Southern Dallas Shipping Hub
FedEx is hiring 1,200 workers for its new shipping hub in southern Dallas County. The package handling giant leased 778,000 square feet of warehouse space earlier this year for the package handling center in the Cedardale Distribution Center near Interstate 20. The distribution center will be used by FedEx Ground.
The company said in a statement that the “regional sortation facility in Dallas that is designed to efficiently add package capacity through the sortation of up to 15,500 packages per hour and better serve customers amid the explosive growth of e-commerce.”
FedEx leased the big block of distribution space from developer Trammell Crow Co. The FedEx lease is one of the largest recent industrial deals in the I-20 corridor in southern Dallas County.
