Hundreds of New Homes Coming in Royse City
Developers have purchased land northeast of Dallas for a new home community with hundreds of houses. Wynne/Jackson has acquired the 182 acres on the south side of Interstate 30 in Royse City. The developer is teaming up with Tucker David Investments to build a 755-home community called Creekshaw. The entry to the community is at FM 35 and Shaw Road.
The first 276 home sites in the project are already under construction and will be ready late next year. First United Bank and Trust is providing construction financing for the project.
The first phase of Creekshaw will include a lagoon pool with a playground and event pavilion and several miles of hike-and-bike trails. A sports complex with soccer fields is planned.
“Wynne/Jackson spent two years entitling, designing and preparing this property for the development of a quality master plan that will meet the needs of homebuyers wanting to live in a well-located small-town environment with excellent schools,” Frank Murphy, principal of Wynne/Jackson, said in a statement. “The project has been designed to provide multiple housing options and exceptional amenities for families looking for active and passive year-round outdoor amenities. Our partners in this project are sophisticated investors that understand quality projects and have been outstanding to work with.”
McKinney-based Tucker David Investments is providing investment capital for the community along with other partners represented by Paul and Ben Pogue. David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes and KHovnanian Homes will be the homebuilders in Creekshaw. The homes will start around $250,000. Wynne/Jackson completed the zoning for the project late last year. Robbie Patman of HC Brokerage and Bobby Crowell of Remax Heritage brokered the land sale.
