Tarrant County Saw Biggest Home Price Gains in November

Tarrant County topped North Texas in home price increases in November. Median home sales prices in Tarrant County were up 7.6% from November 2018 levels, according to the MetroTex Association of Realtors. Prices in Dallas County were up 6.6%.

For all of North Texas, the median price of single-family homes sold by real estate agents rose 4% from a year earlier. Home sales in November were down 1% in Collin County — the only area among seven North Texas counties that saw a decline from 2018.

The biggest home sales increases were in Kaufman County (up 22.9%) and Ellis County (up 7.4%). 

Across North Texas, home sales in November were 2% ahead of where they were a year earlier. Ellis and Kaufman counties also had the largest gains in the number of houses listed for sale with real estate agents.

Overall, home listings in North Texas were down 2% year over year. Through the first 11 months of 2019, home sales in the region are running 2% ahead of where they were for the same period last year, and median sales prices are up 3%...
