More Apartments Coming to Cypress Waters
Two new apartment communities on the way in the booming Cypress Waters development will add more than 850 rental units. Developer Billingsley Co. is planning a new apartment project on North Lake on Harpers Lane near Mulberry Hill Road. The development site is just east of Belt Line Road in Cypress Waters’ Sound mixed-use development.
Billingsley Co. has already built hundreds of apartments plus office and retail space in The Sound, which faces the south shores of North Lake. The developer recently filed plans for its latest rental projects with the city of Dallas. “We have two new multifamily properties that we are working on within Cypress Waters,” Tiffany Harlow, Billingsley’s vice president of marketing for multifamily and retail, said. “The first up is Sage Hill, a 385-unit community that will be constructed on the land adjacent to Richard J. Lee Elementary on the southeast side of the CW development.
“The second is a 499-unit property called Hasting’s End that will be the fifth block within the Neighborhoods at The Sound, located on southwest peninsula of North Lake. “Construction start dates are December 2019 and March 2020, respectively.”
The 1,000-acre Cypress Waters community on LBJ Freeway at Belt Line Road has been one of the most successful developments in North Texas. Billingsley Co. bought the property in 2004 and has built almost 3 million square feet of offices plus apartments and retail. More than 11,000 people work at Cypress Waters for companies including 7-Eleven, CoreLogic, Nokia, Brinker International, Nationstar Mortgage, Toyota Industries Commercial Finance, BT America and Constellation Brands.
Billingsley is currently working on three additional office buildings, including a 10-story high-rise that would be the tallest so far in Cypress Waters...
